A Scoping Study on Lightweight Cryptography Reviews in IoT

The efforts in designing and developing lightweight cryptography (LWC) started a decade ago. Many scholarly studies literature report the enhancement of conventional cryptographic algorithms development new algorithms. This significant number resulted rise many review on LWC IoT. Due to vast IoT, it is not known what cover how extensive are. Therefore, this article aimed bridge gap by conducting systematic scoping study. It analyzed existing articles IoT discover extensiveness reviews topics covered. results study suggested that are classified as overview-types focusing generic LWC. Further, mainly focused symmetric block cryptography, while limited were found asymmetric-key hash outcomes revealed still their premature stage researchers encouraged explore less-attended areas. An these two deemed necessary establish balance works for encourage more empirical research area.
